The BEST program (Business Engineering and Surgical Technologies) is an innovative teaching program meant to inspire and equip aspiring entrepreneurs to pursue a passion in medical innovation. Open to a large range of profiles (doctor, surgeon, engineer, scientist or graduate in management and economics), both students or graduates, participants can choose between a one-week bootcamp and a 2-year Master’s degree. Course combines e-learning with engineering and entrepreneurship workshops, as well as hands-on experience in surgery. Teaching is provided by international experts, including successful entrepreneurs from the technical, medical and business sides of medical entrepreneurship.

Objectives

Created in 2012, the B.E.S.T. week is seen as a springboard for young professionals who wish to themselves or accelerate their career in the field of health innovation. The course is designed to stimulate interactions between diverse students across other countries, cultures and disciplines. The program is accepting not only physicians, but also researchers, scientists, engineers and entrepreneurs, wishing to learn how to drive innovation in medicine.
