TAURUS Endoscopy, an IHU spinoff company, and RDS (Rhythm Diagnostic Systems), long-term partner of the IHU, are winners of the 2022-2023 State Innovation Competition. The awards ceremony was held on Tuesday, July 4, 2023, in the presence of Sylvie Retailleau, Minister for Higher

Education and Research, Roland Lescure, Minister for Industry, Jean-Noël Barrot, Minister for Digital Transition and Telecommunications, and Bruno Bonnell, General Secretary for Investment in charge of France 2030.

To promote the emergence of major French champions on the international stage and encourage entrepreneurial spirit in deeptech, the French State Innovation Competitions have been rewarding researchers and entrepreneurs throughout France since 1999.

Bruno Mutet, President and co-founder, Mariel Bolhouse, CEO and co-founder, and Lee Swanström, member of the Scientific Advisory Board, have accepted the iLab Grand Prix for TAURUS Endoscopy. The company develops innovative medical devices for flexible interventional endoscopy based on revolutionary clip technology.

The i-Lab prize promotes the results of public research through the creation of innovative technology companies. For the 2023 edition, the jury of experts singled out 79 winners from among the 400 applications received for the national competition, particularly in the healthcare, digital and chemical sectors.

CEO Elie Lobel received the iNov award on behalf of RDS. RDS offers hospitals the MultiSense® solution for continuous, accurate remote monitoring, enabling physiological follow-up of patients even within the comfort of their own homes. This is a miniaturized, connected medical device, manufactured in France, which enables very high-quality remote monitoring (continuously over several days) of key cardiac and respiratory parameters, particularly during post-surgical monitoring.

The i-Nov program supports innovation projects by start-ups and SMEs with particularly strong potential for the French economy, with the aim of fostering the emergence of leading companies with global reach. In total, 108 winners were selected for waves 9 and 10 of the competition, for a total of €80 million.

BRAVO to TAURUS and RDS. We are proud of your success!
